Guide

Bathroom sink sizes. How to measure.

Most bathroom basins fall into a few widths. The right one depends on the wall, the door and who uses it.

01

Common widths.

Guest toilet: 40 to 50 cm. Small bathroom: 60 cm. Main bathroom: 80 to 100 cm. Shared bathroom: 120 cm and up.

02

Depth.

Basins are commonly 40 to 50 cm deep. In narrow rooms, check that the door opens and that there is about 70 cm free in front.

03

Measure.

Measure the wall, the distance to the toilet and shower, and the position of existing pipes. Leave at least 10 to 15 cm on each side if the basin sits between walls.
