Guide

Verde Alpi. The deep green marble.

Verde Alpi is a dark green stone with fine white and light green veining. It has been used in European interiors for over a century. This guide covers what to expect.

01

The look.

Deep forest green, close to black in some light, with a web of pale veins. Polished, it has depth. It reads as darker in small rooms and greener in daylight.

02

Where it works.

Verde Alpi suits a guest bathroom, a plinth in a living room, or a basin against pale walls. It pairs with brass, walnut and warm white.

03

Care.

Verde Alpi is technically a serpentinite, often traded as marble. It is generally less reactive to acid than white marble, but seal it and clean it gently all the same. Water marks can show on the dark polish, so wipe it dry.
